Festival

  • Before the doors even opened, HyperactiveFestival.com reported over 300,000 unique visitors, and over 3 million hits total.
  • The Festival was accepted as an official Albuquerque Tricentennial Event.
  • 140 bands of mixed genres arrived from across the country and beyond, including Sarah Bettens (Nederlands), Desolé (Arizona), Fielding (California), Adam Lopez (Oklahoma), Martha Berner (Illinois), The Day After (Nevada), Sixty bands hailed from New Mexico, including Soular, The Alex Maryol Band, The Dirty Novels and Concepto Tambour.
  • The Festival occupied three days, kicking off with a VIP party at Sauce & Raw attended by nearly 1000.
  • The Festival patronized all of Albuquerque's downtown venues, including Burt's Tiki Lounge, The Atomic Cantina, District Bar & Grill, the El Rey, Central Connection Café, and others.


Conference

  • Over 50 panelists from all facets of the music industry spoke to local musicians on topics ranging from "How To Get Good Press & Publicity," "How To Get On TV and Video Soundtracks," "How To Book a Good Tour," and "How To Distribute Digitally."
  • Speakers included:

    • John Kursweg, producer for Creed, Jewel, Eagle Eye Cherry, and Puddle Of Mud, among many others

  • An estimated 400 Albuquerque hotel rooms were sold (including a sell-out at Hotel Bleu).
  • Many bars, including Atomic Cantina, District Bar & Grill, Sauce and Raw, Central Connection Café, Lindy's Café, Gold Street Café, and Fourth Street Pub reported record sales during festival nights.
  • An estimated $250,000 between hotels, bars, food, transportation, shopping, Segways, Festival events and more was brought into New Mexico by The Hyperactive Conference and Music Festival.
